What we process

Account: your email address (code sign-in, no password).

Listing contact: name, email and phone - only if you list a car for sale; these then appear on your listing.

Photos and car details you add to your album/listing.

Enquiries: if you message via a listing, the seller receives your name, email and message.

Feedback you choose to send us.

Purpose & legal basis

Providing the service (account, albums, listings, print orders), connecting buyers and sellers, and improving the offering. The basis is contract performance or our legitimate interest.

Sharing

Contact and enquiry data are made available to the relevant seller or buyer so you can reach each other. Emails are delivered via an email provider. We do not sell personal data.

Hosting and transfer abroad

The website and its data are hosted on Hetzner servers in Nuremberg (Germany, EU). Emails are delivered via an email provider. From a Swiss standpoint the EU provides adequate data protection.

Analytics

We use Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool. No data is passed to third parties and no profile is built about you.

Retention

We keep data as long as needed for the service. Unclaimed anonymous drafts are deleted automatically. You can delete your account and cars at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and delete your data, and to object. Contact kontakt@helvauto.ch.
